Auto Glass Technician

Who We're Looking For

We’re hiring experienced Auto Glass Technicians for our mobile auto glass company. This is not a trainee or apprenticeship position. Applicants must already have hands-on windshield and automotive-glass installation experience and be capable of completing normal installations independently. Auto Glass Works will train qualified technicians on our company procedures, documentation standards, equipment, and quality expectations—not on the basic fundamentals of installing auto glass.

Experienced applicants only. This is not an entry-level or trainee position.

The Role

Technicians at Auto Glass Works install windshields, door glass, back glass, quarter glass, and other automotive glass at customers’ homes, workplaces, dealerships, repair facilities, and jobsites. Technicians work independently from company vans equipped with standardized tools and materials.

The technician is responsible for inspecting the vehicle, documenting pre-existing damage, completing the installation correctly, following urethane and safe-drive-away requirements, protecting the customer’s vehicle, cleaning the work area, reporting problems immediately, and accurately documenting the completed job. Technicians must work efficiently without sacrificing quality or hiding mistakes.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous professional auto glass installation experience is required
  • Ability to remove and install windshields independently from start to finish
  • Experience with door glass, back glass, quarter glass, and related components
  • Mobile or field-service experience strongly preferred
  • ADAS calibration experience strongly preferred
  • Understanding of primers, urethane systems, safe-drive-away requirements, moldings, sensors, cameras, and vehicle protection
  • Ability to identify and report rust, hidden damage, incorrect parts, prior installation problems, and other concerns instead of guessing
  • Strong attention to detail and low-comeback work habits
  • Ability to maintain a productive schedule without rushing or cutting corners
  • Consistent before-and-after photos and documentation
  • Clean work habits and complete cleanup after every job
  • Reliable attendance, communication, and follow-through
  • Professional appearance and respectful customer communication
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision or hand-holding
  • Willingness to learn Auto Glass Works procedures and use standardized equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements

What We Provide

  • Competitive pay structure (weekly base + production pay, quality bonus, profit share)
  • Fully equipped company van (all tools provided, not your responsibility)
  • Benefits and opportunities for growth
  • Professional work environment
  • Same standardized equipment across all locations

ADAS experience is strongly preferred but is not a substitute for windshield-installation experience. Applicants must already be experienced auto glass installers.
